Berger VLD Hunting Bullets

VLD bullets are proving to be the most lethal big game hunting bullet available. The VLD design incorporates a sharp nose that allows the bullet to penetrate up to 3 inches before it starts to expand. This delayed expansion results in a wound channel that is deep inside the vital area of any big game. After the bullet starts to expand it will shed 80% to 90% of its weight into the surrounding tissue traveling as deep as 18 inches. This results in a massive wound cavity that creates the greatest possible amount of tissue damage and hemorrhaging within the vitals. This massive and extensive wound cavity result in the animal dropping fast. Using the Berger VLD will result in an animal that goes down fast so you can enjoy the results of your hunt without having to track the wounded animal after the shot. You owe it to yourself to see how accurate and deadly the Berger VLD will be on your next hunt.

185 VLD February 12, 2012
Reviewer: Jay Maisano from Cheney, WA United States
after spending the spring setting up my huskemaw topped savage, I went on an elk hunt in Montana,on the second day of the hunt with 3 elk already down, I took a cow at 331 yards, the 185 took her in the high shoulder and she dropped. The chest was turned to JELLY. then later in the season I was back in montana for a one day deer hunt, A609 yard shot on a nice montana mule deer and the results were the same, high shoulder shot and a chest full of jelly. these berger bullets are DEVESTATING on big game, and shoot lights out in the accuracy department also.

Mule deer at 365 yards December 2, 2009

I know the 168 Berger VLD is the most accurate bullet in my Rem. Sendero 300 win mag but was astounded at the quick knockdown on a running buck at 365 yards in Colorado this year. One shot, Game Over. super hole, did not exit, bullet fragmented just like you said they would.  Great bullet.

THEY WORK AS ADVERTISED November 20, 2009
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from tucson, AZ United States
USED THE BERGERS FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR FOR ELK AND BIG EASTERN WHITETAIL. USED 190 VLD IN THE 300WSM WITH RL22 @3000FPS ON ELK. ONE SHOT KILL. USED 180VLD IN 7MM REM MAG W RL22 @3000FPS FOR WHITETAIL. IMPRESSIVE ONE SHOT DEAD RIGHT THERE (DRT) ON A BIG MO WHITETAIL. BOTH KILLS WERE UNDER 200YDS.

BOTH OF MY RIFLES SHOT BEST WITH A LOT OF BULLET JUMP TO THE RIFLE LANDS. ABOUT .120. BOTH OF THESE SPORTER WEIGHT HUNTING RIFLES PRODUCED SUB MOA GROUPS @1000 YARDS. IF YOU CAN'T GET THEM TO GROUP VERY WELL JUST KEEP PLAYING WITH THE SEATING DEPTH AND LOOK OUT FOR THAT SWEET SPOT.
